List of telephone subscribers from Czarny Dunajec and Chochołów from 1939 with the names of Jewish residents.

Most of the Jewish residents of Czarny Dunajec on this list were either known to us or we knew such names, now we have confirmation. The largest business in Czarny Dunajec before the war was owned by the Cracovian entrepreneur Izydor Landau: a steam sawmill (taken over by the Germans at the beginning of the war and later turned into a labour camp "Hobag") and a box factory. One of the largest shops in the market square and a wholesaler of "mixed goods" (probably on the road to Nowy Targ at the junction with the road to Wróblówka) had Jozef Lehrer. The gas water factory was run by Izak Hirsch Korngut, Dr Leon Lamensdorf was a lawyer and Helena Blumenkranz was a merchant. Henryk Holländer had two ironmonger's shops in the market square (at numbers 1 and 5), and Maks Zimmerman was a "representative of Zywiec beer".

In Chocholow, which was home to several Jewish families before the war, only Leib Klapholz, who owned, among other things, an inn in the centre of the village, on the square opposite the church, is listed in the register of subscribers.
