New documents from the archives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Thanks to the information provided by a descendant of Israel Koren (Korngut) - his family history is described here - I was able to access the archives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Kraków, where preserved documents relate to companies, primarily shops registered in Czarny Dunajec before the war.

Four companies are listed under the surname Korngut alone.

In 1933, Amalja Korngut founded a shop that "sold alcoholic beverages."

Aron Korngut also founded a company in 1933 (address: Rynek), but the enterprise operated only until the end of the year. It engaged in "retail sales of alcoholic beverages in closed containers."

Chaskel Korngut opened a beer and wine wholesale business in 1935 (address: Rynek 139), which, according to documents, operated until 1939.

The highest turnover, as evidenced by the amount recorded, was achieved by Izak Korngut's company, which sold flour and bran and also purchased rawhides. It was the only one listed to have a telephone (no. 7).
