Once again, Israeli guide Ron Cohen Paraira from the Museum of Ghetto Fighters in Lohamei Hagetaot came to visit Czarny Dunajec. This time a delegation of young people from the Ma'gan Michael kibbutz came with Ron. The guests from Israel visited the Jewish cemetery and the synagogue, and the history of these places was told by Wojtek Głowacz, who has been taking care of the memory of the community of Czarny Dunajec Jews for several years.
A month ago, a windstorm toppled several trees in the Jewish cemetery in Czarny Dunajec. It was only recently that they managed to remove them, and Wojtek and his brother Michał decided, symbolically, to plant a new tree, but they asked Ron to do it. - I was surprised and excited that it was me who had the honour of planting a new tree in the cemetery in Czarny Dunajec - says Ron, whose name the newly planted oak will bear.
